Develop practical skills to enhance your career opportunities, learn about the world of wine and spirits and build pathways to more senior hospitality roles.
This intensive programme builds on the foundations learnt during the Level 3 qualification.

HOSPITALITY
You will learn what it takes to become one of the finest hospitality service professionals. The fine dining module at the end of the course will include silver and gueridon service. The LCQ qualification for the sale of alcohol is included in this module as well as culinary terms and 12 practical cookery sessions.

WINE KNOWLEDGE
The NZSFW Certificate in Wine introduces you to this exciting world and includes the highly regarded WSET Award in Wine Level 1 with a focus on international wines and food and beverage pairing.

SPIRITS & COCKTAILS
In this module, you will learn about the important spirit categories and classic cocktails they have inspired. Practical workshops on cocktails and mixology will build your confidence as a mixologist. You will also complete the WSET Award in Spirits Level 2.

ACCOMMODATION & SUPERYACHTS
This module introduces you to guest services for hotel accommodation and interior training for superyachts.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Work experience modules will enable you to observe, experience and work in some of Auckland’s premier restaurants.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Aged 18 or over
Completed NZ Certificate in Food and Beverage Level 3 or NZ Certificate in Cookery Level 3 or equivalent industry experience
Attend an interview in person or by telephone
Upper intermediate level of English: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent for international students*
Valid student visa for international students
* English language pathways available.

New Zealand students receive a subsidy from the New Zealand Government.
New Zealand students are eligible for student loans and allowances.
Fees do not include NZSFW uniform.
