Train to become a qualified snowboard instructor

If you have ever thought about becoming a snowboard instructor or wondered how to gain the certifications needed for a snowboard instructor job, Snow Trainers deliver everything you need.  Spend 12 weeks in Colorado, USA and train for internationally recognised qualifications while riding Colorado’s famous deep dry powder.

An amazing winter experience

Snow Trainers want to make sure you have a fun, rewarding and memorable experience on our courses which is why we chose Copper mountain for our USA course. With an average snowfall of 282 in / 710 cm, 22 lifts and 2,450 acres/985 hectares of terrain to play on you are sure to have an amazing time. And if that’s not enough, we have also included an amazing day of Snow-cat riding so you can hit the back-country and have the slopes to yourself!

Snow Trainers students will also have access to the Copper employee cafeteria to buy discounted lunches, saving you money and making you really feel like one of the team at Copper Mountain.

Next to Copper is the one-of-a-kind indoor freestyle training facility – Woodward. We give you the option of an add-on pass so you can practice your moves on a trampoline and into the foam pit before you take it to the park. Once you get back on the mountain they also have air-bag jumps in the park so you can make sure you have everything 100% perfected before you take it to a real snow landing.

USA’s best snowboard trainers

Snow Trainers coaches are Trainers and Examiners for the AASI-RM, not just high level snowboard instructors. Who else would you want to be trained by other than the actual coaches who run the certifications and set the stadards? Your trainers have many years of experience both instructing and training students to become instructors. They still work for Copper Ski and Ride School so they know what you need for the exams and also what's required in the real world of instructing. Another bonus of being with Copper instructors is that you get VIP treatment at the lifts - no long queues for you!

Our head snowboard trainer is also one of our owners - Tony Macri. Tony is the chief snowboard examiner for the AASI in the Rocky Mountains, and he is the guy who sets the standards for all instructors qualified in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.
