With the new standards being put in place for the maritime industry, regards to armed personnel aboard ships. This Level 3 City & Guilds course has been developed to meet the requirements of the Maritime security Standards ISO 028007: and is currently the only qualification that has been mapped against this standard.
This course is designed to prepare the student for work in the maritime security industry and has been developed to provide an industry standard for field operatives in maritime security awareness and emergency response training. It will become the maritime industry entry level qualification and will replace the necessary SSO certificate: STCW 95 certificates will still be required for those wishing to work in this field from a Maritime NZ Training Center.

NZTW offers a wide variety of courses and training packages to help you secure employment in the Private Security Industry, such as Close Protection, Maritime Security, Hostile Environment, Firearm training, Door Supervision, Private Investigations, Surveillance and CCTV operators. All of our instructors are highly experienced and knowledgeable in the Private Security Sector, fully qualified with backgrounds in the British Military or the New Zealand Defence Force. Maritime Firearms and Hostile Environment training is undertaken with realistic scenarios. This is all in preparation for actual threats that you may encounter and is carried out on a controlled Live Firing range which simulates harsh environments overseas. Full support and supervision is given throughout all of the training by our dedicated instructors so help is always at hand.
