Description
Love the smell and taste of fresh bread but baulk at the price of specialty loaves? Keen to get back to basics and whip up your own yeasty treats? Spend a day making buttery brioche, dinner rolls, pizza base, ciabatta and sugared doughnuts.
All ingredients included in course fee - a list of other items required will be sent to you when the course is confirmed. Not suitable for those who are gluten-free.
Outcomes
By the end of the day, you'll:
- Have made a selection of bread products to take home
- Understand more about the bread making process
- Use yeast with more confidence
- Feel confident to make bread products by hand
- Have had fun

Community Education courses have been delivered at Wellington High School and its antecedents since 1886. The Evening Institute was established in 1964 when Wellington Polytechnic separated from the secondary school and today is known as the Wellington High School Community Education Centre (CEC).
