Details
This course teaches people to safely clean spills and use spill kits. This is important knowledge for warehouse staff, drivers, loaders and supervisors. This course fits well with the Dangerous goods handler course, also offered by DT. This course does
not have any requrements other than an internet connection and device.
Outline
The course covers:
- the use of safety data sheets and product safety cards to define your spill response
- signage and labels used for hazardous goods
- how to assess a spill and set up spill zones
- spill action plans
- what items are in a spill kit
- how to clean up a spill
- how to dispose of spilled materials and who to report it to
- how to manage risks.
