Outline
This programme will start your journey to learning Laser & IPL with an introductory pre-course workbook, online slides and videos to prepare you for the classroom sessions.
During your intensive 2 days of theory, our experienced tutors will expand your knowledge in simplified laser science and physics.
After 2 days of comprehensive theory, you will go on to do a full day of practical experience and demonstrations, putting all your knowledge into practice. You will be working with top-of-the-range laser & IPL machines from our preferred NZ suppliers.
However, if you wish, you can request for this practical day to be conducted at your salon, using your specific machine*.
During your practical day, you will learn hair removal and introductory skin rejuvenation. In our small group, relaxed learning setting, you will develop professional techniques in hand-piece placement, and management of clients, as well as lots of opportunities,
to ask questions. You will gain an in-depth understanding of risks involved with both pulsed light (IPL) and laser treatments. CE1 programme will help you to build your confidence and help to achieve great results when delivering basic treatments such as permanent
hair reduction and beginner skin rejuvenation.

Director, Ruth Nicholson is an NZQA qualified adult tutor with more than 18 years of relevant industry experience, including eleven years of developing and teaching Laser and IPL to beauty and medical aesthetics professionals - her goal is to ensure laser safety and laser science is well understood, and that best practice is upheld, protecting the public and ensuring operators of laser and IPL devices receive the best education and guidelines, coupled with expert support learners career success.
Ruth is joined by Stacey Spencer-King, senior clinical tutor (also qualified adult tutor, and UK health and safety qualified) - Stacey has well over 20 years of clinical experience operating lasers and has been teaching it since 2014, together known as the 'laser ladies', you will be in the best hands.
